What We Do: Marketing

Our marketing is conceptualised from the very beginning of our relationship. Designed specifically to appeal to the target audience. By that we mean marketing that's based on an understanding of a venue's history; its position in the market; the various elements that make it what it is; and its potential. We bring a creative input that’s been thought through from concept to realisation.

Small details mean a lot here. Marketing a night is the first step in marketing a venue.

And did somebody say technology?

Increasingly marketing is now website- and internet-driven. There's a growing use of "social marketing" techniques as opposed to traditional print based media that’s very expensive and difficult to assess the effectiveness of.

So new and emerging media are a major part of the Musicland method – we are at ease with using the latest technology to communicate with any audience we identify. We are particularly strong in building audience and customer affinity through web-based services and incentives.

But print based marketing still has a place. We can handle every step, from conceptualisation to art direction and creative to printing and distribution or ad placement.

Most successful marketing requires a mix of methods, from ads, flyers and word of mouth to internet. Getting the mix right is the trick. It takes good judgement to design the best combination of new and old technology. We use the most appropriate for your artist, your event, your venue. Decisions are based on our wide ranging first-hand knowledge, Musicland is A HIVE OF IDEAS, in which everyone complements each other's experience.
